Pythagoras probably had at least two brothers, perhaps three. Little is known about his childhood. He apparently grew up on Samos, but traveled with his father. It has been said he and his father returned to Tyre on at least one occasion and also traveled to Italy.

He was well educated, learning to read and play the lyre. It is said that while in Tyre, he studied with the Chaldaeans and the learned men of Syria. At home, he was influenced by his teacher, the philosopher, Pherekydes. Another apocryphal tale has him visiting Miletus in his late teenage years to study with Thales.

Blog Entry # 4.5 -Design Brief(A)

I am going to design a Cereal box that advertises Pythagoras. The goal of this project is to attract people to buy our cereal. My target market is going to be teenagers around the age 12-17. A important element to keep in mind is the text. I want to make sure that the title and the slogan will attract teenagers attention. Since I am trying to attract teenagers then I will make sure that the background isn't too colorful.

Answer The way the designer tried to attract the adults is by putting fruits on the front cover to show that the cereal is healthy.

2. What gender of adult is targeted? What elements led you to this conclusion?

Answer: The cereal is attracting women because the background color is purple and most women like purple.

3. What is the advertising slogan?

there is no slogan for this cereal.

1. Describe all of the ways the designer has targeted children with this cereal box.

Answer: A way that the designer had targeted the children is by making the cereal colorful. Another way is by adding a rabbit on the front to attract the children. The design also used bright colors to make the cereal box outstanding.

2. What gender of children is targeted? What elements led you to this conclusion?

Answer: I think the designer is targeting both boy and girls. I think this because the designer had use bright colors to attract the boys and use the rabbit to attract the girls since girls like animals.

Answer: The advertising slogan is "Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids."

Blog Entry #3.16 Human Ingenuity Evaluation E)

My poster will attract people who religion is Islam because 89% Turkmenistan are Muslim. In Turkmenistan the culture follows the Muslims beliefs and their tradition like fasting, praying 5 times a day, and and not eating pork.

I give myself a 6 because I demonstrated a good understanding on how to rotate, place, edit, and extract images. I also showed a good job in saving my work and where to save the work at. I could use Adobe Illustrator for my Globe class when I need to make a presentable poster.

Blog Entry #3.10- Process Journal 2 (D)

I have gathered photos, information, and started my poster. I have researched in formation on Turkmenistan and picked out a color for my background poster. I can improve my work taking my time and really picking out information that would attract people attention. I give myself a 6 because I am trying my best and I am doing a good job gathering photos for the collage.
