Blog Entry # 2.11 Progress Journal 2 (E)

So far the steps I took to complete what i completed so far is that I have looked on the internet to get information based on Leif Erikson so that I can have an idea of what type of people i wnat to buy my card. One way I can improve my work is to be more creative. If I had to grade myself i would give myself a 6 because the whole time i was completing my work in a managing time, I really put much thought into my work and I worked to the best of my ability.

Blog Entry #2.10 - Target consumers

Target Consumers #1: First I would like to grab grown men around the age 40 years old attention because this is a holiday that is honoring a Leif Erikson Day which is a man that had found land along time ago. They would know more about this holiday than a a child that's five years old

Target Consumers #2: Secondly I would like to grab people who likes to sail because Leif Erikson is a person that sailed and found land. I think that grabbing sailors attention would be simple to do because most of them admire Leif Erikson because he is a sailor that found land.

Target Consumers #3: Finally I would grab people people who like boats. I would grab their attention by putting a boat on the front of the cover because most people who likes boats knows about Leif Erikson.

Blog Entry # 2.5 Design Brief(A)

I am going to design 3 greeting cards for a holiday. My main goal is to grab the consumers attention. My card should have me making money. I want to target the children attention because its easier to capture their focus then it is for a grown up or a teenager. In my design I want to make sure that the cover stands out and the text is either funny, candy on the cover, or a cartoon. In my design I would not use dark colors because dark colors would make the card not look appealing.

Blog Entry#1.15 Human Inqenuity

The message that each group will get from looking at my poster is that each of these words can fit your character if you want them to. Anyone can be a Thinker, Risk Taker, Open Minded, Reflective and Knowledgeable. You just have to want it.

Blog Entry#1.14 Attitudes Evaluation

My greatest strength during this project was the word thinker because from the start i new how i was going to present this word in my poster. My greatest challenge doing this project was demonstrating the word Inquirer because I'm not so familiar with the word so it made it more difficult for me. I feel that i work to the best of my ability because i always got what i need to get done and put much thought into my poster. I thought about the colors and font size to use.

Blog Entry#1.13-Create Evaluation

One problem that i encounter is finding a way to take a picture to demonstrate the word. This was a problem until i read the definition of the word more then once. One new skill i learned by doing this project is that when being creative and active in whatever it is your doing it makes things easier.

Blog Entry#1.12-Design /plan Evaluation

One change between my sketch and my poster is the background color. one reason why I change the background color is because the background didn't go with the picture.

Blog Entry#1.11- Investigate Evaluation

From looking at other people poster i learned that when placing your title at the top you want to make sure that it is center and not to far to the right or the left because then that makes your poster look unorganized.

Blog Entry#1.10- Product Evaluation

To improve my poster design I think I should of made the captions better then what they are now. like instead of using the defintion of the word i should of picked a saying to make it more interesting.

Blog Entry#1.8-Final Design (d)

Since there were 10 word that we had to complete, my partner and I decided to split them up so that we can be done faster. I decided to make the title on my poster larger than the caption so that our title can grab the readers attention. I also decided to make the color wording light when the background was dark and the color wording dark when the background was light. For my layout i decide to make them all portrait because then i can make the photo either wide or long.
